# The Realm®

> The Realm® is a hyper-realistic, multiplayer virtual world of nine islands, built in Unreal Engine 5 by Alchemy Studios, LLC. It is in active development: the world is being built now and is not yet open to the public. The website therealm.online is its live front door ("Jump Port").

## Status (October 2026)

- Stage: in active development. The playable world is not yet publicly released.
- Engine: Unreal Engine 5.8, C++ and Blueprints, on a dedicated multiplayer server.
- Platforms: VR and desktop (flat screen). Players enter in first person, with an optional third-person view.
- Live today at therealm.online: the nine island pages with concept art and narrated listings; Land Title certificate artwork; Val, The Realm's AI guide (a Claude-powered concierge); Realm passport sign-up (prototype); and the Passport Studio face-scan and avatar prototype.
- In progress: the island levels in Unreal Engine, the in-world Land Title builder, and the full MetaHuman-based avatar studio.

## What The Realm is

- A virtual world for meeting, building, trading and celebrating together: nine themed islands in one sea, surrounded by unexplored "wild country" for future expeditions.
- Islands: Hyperion Island (City of the Future, home of the Commerce Center downtown and the arrival point for every traveler), North Umbria (A Taste of Europe), White Horse Key (The Mining Island), Kingdom Cove (Faith Island), Boardwalk Island (Theme Park Island), Grand Island (Casino Island; casino gaming for members 21 and over), Asclepia Key (Medical Island), Marina Cove (Yachting Community) and Subversa (The Underwater Realm).
- Members carry a Realm passport, choose an island of origin, and keep a citizen standing under The Realm's Rules of Conduct.

## Land Titles

- Land Titles are digital collectibles recorded on the Polygon blockchain, each with original certificate artwork by the creator. They represent a parcel for use inside The Realm (a home, shop, venue or other build).
- Land Titles are not investments or securities, and The Realm makes no promise of profit or value. Prices on the site start at $99.

## Who builds it

- Developer: Alchemy Studios, LLC.
- Creator: J. Daniel "Raven" Hughes, creative director. A self-taught, multidisciplinary artist and developer with over 40 years in visual communication, brand, digital art, illustration, web and software development, product design and 3D mechanical design; a former Unreal Engine level designer. He has envisioned The Realm since 2000 and paints its Land Title artwork.
- Alchemy Studios, LLC and its predecessor, DesignWerx, Inc., have served the themed-entertainment industry as a preferred vendor for over 37 years.
- Team: Randy Gruber (COO and Compliance Director), Val McLeod (Official Ambassador), Vicki Iliff (Infrastructure Developer).
